In January 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation for Jawa Barat Province was 0.79 percent.

Abstract

In January 2025 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Jawa Barat Province of 0.79 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.60. The highest inflation occurred in Sukabumi City by 1.50 percent with a CPI of 106.95 while deflation occurred in Subang Regency by 0.35 percent with a CPI of 107.99.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.28 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.29 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.96 percent; health group by 1.92 percent; transportation group by 0.67 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.85 percent; education group by 2.57 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 2.22 percent; and personal care and other services group by 9.09 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 7.60 percent and information, communication, and financial services groups by 0.41 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Jawa Barat Province in January 2025 amounted to 0.68 percent, while the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate amounted to 0.68 percent
